Countertop Cleaning Spray

Granite Countertops

Do not use acidic (citrus-based) cleaners on marble, granite, and stone!  Citrus or vinegar will actually cause “etching” on granite countertops.  Cleaners like Windex will strip the "seal" off the stone.  This recipe is a great, cost-effective alternative.

  • 8 oz glass spray bottle
  • 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol
  • 3 drops of Castile soap
  • Water
  • 5 drops Lavender essential oil (to mask the smell of the rubbing alcohol)

  1. Put the rubbing alcohol in spray bottle.
  2. Add the dish soap, essential oil and fill up the rest of the bottle with water.
  3. Shake to mix ingredients.
